Right on the money x3 It was a really good entry into the series.
I wish they had gone more in that direction. Star Fox Command and Star Fox Zero were… flawed. And the Switch never even got a Star Fox game >:T
I’d always wanted more of Oikonny’s Rebellion for the plot. I enjoyed the Aparoid Invasion, but they could have padded the beginning more to make the hit feel more impactful.
Zerda revealing her competitive streak: it’s always the quiet ones you have to watch out for! I’m not well versed in console games, I think I see an Arwing, thus making it a Star Fox game?
I don’t play many games with other people but playing against someone younger and faster than you are takes planning, let them feel good about taunting you because they’re dealing more damage to the dragon and then when they beat it, backstab them while they’re doing their victory dance and take the treasure. Work smarter, not harder 😉
Starlink was actually really fun! I totally did buy it just for the Arwing but it turns out the game itself wasn’t too bad. It’s your generic Ubisoft follow-the-markers-around-the-map kind of game, but they implemented Fox into it way more than I thought they would. Sad to say, Ubisoft has done better with the Star Fox IP than Nintendo has in more recent times >:T
Works the other way too! Twenty+ years ago my nephews brought some street-fighting game to visit. They totally wiped my brother and I time after time. Finally both myself and my brother managed to beat each of them, while -we- got tired of them and quit really trying. Then both of us managed to beat each of them while we were playing the cute little schoolgirl characters. 🙂
We didn’t have video games when I was young, but our kids had them all and someone had to play with them, I still hate Sonic 🙂 D&D came out when I was in University, the only people who played it were the jocks and the drama club, it was great for making up characters and reading their ‘lines’, even if the original game didn’t push that part of it at all, we sort of stumbled onto it watching a game and adding voiceovers for the characters “Sir Plumbley feints with his axe…he trips over the handle and that’s a miss” when someone rolled a 1 🙂 Once that took off, the communications majors chimed in and eventually almost everyone ended up playing characters everywhere, even in the hallways or ordering at the cafeteria. This was before the big surge in fantasy books, there weren’t a lot to copy from so you made it up as you went. The jocks just liked the idea of hitting things with swords and it taught them a little math in the process 😉

Is that Star Fox: Assault that I spot? One of my favorite GameCube games, loved playing it with friends!

It’s always a special moment when the younger sibling manages to score a win against the older sibling ^_^

Love that they’re playing Star Fox. One of my favorite nintendo games. Closest thing the Switch got was Star Link.
