I get the feeling Gale is going to actually be very happy to see Red and isn’t going to have the same perspective on these memories.
A confertation possibly is coming but would have to do it using the progressive trope – the bully isn’t a bully as an adult. I dunno, just spitballing.
It looks like Gale really likes Red and didn’t know how to show it properly while growing up.
